 Mer Young is a Long Beach artist who has created a body of artwork manifested in collages, drawings, paintings, and public artworks. A regular collaborator with Big Bowl of Ideas, Young’s artworks aim to inspire, celebrate and elevate repressed indigenous, first nations and native cultures, and women of color. Mer’s contribution to Dear Frontline, Black and Essential, has been among the most disseminated pieces, being repurposed in locations and forms across the country.
