"Do Something Different" is the motto of Charlotte-based creative agency, The Savage Way. Their work includes Clean Graffiti & Moss Art. By utilizing nature, they are able to create memorable and impactful art & advertising experiences for clients.

Moss Art began in 2014 when owners Torrie Savage & Paula Bartlett, along with their team of talented women artists, began utilizing preserved plants to create unique logos for clients. Fast forward six years later and they are now designing & creating huge green features for corporate interior designers, top architects, builders and business owners all over the country. Always ones to push the line, they created a new line of Moss Art - a pop art collaboration with fellow artist Jen Hill.

Jen Hill is a professional artist also based in Charlotte, NC. She spends her time mixing different mediums to create her unique artwork. She is not afraid of glitter, neon color or her signature spatter paint effect. Her work includes both outdoor and indoor murals, commissioned artwork for hotels, restaurants and private residences, custom merchandise collaborations with retailers and several series that just bring her joy.

Together they created MIXED MOSS ART which combines the talents of The Savage Way & Jen Hill. Vibrant paint along with pops of color made from reindeer moss truly make this art one-of-a-kind (and maintenance-free!). All work is custom and can be created in collaboration with the client's vision.

About the piece, 

When asked to create a piece to honor Covid-19 Frontline Workers, we immediately knew that the work of Dolly Parton must be highlighted. Not only for her incredible $1 million donation to coronavirus research at Vanderbilt University, which later helped fund Moderna's Covid-19 vaccine, but for her overall spirit of stepping up to help without hesitation. The world needs more of that. Both The Savage Way and Jen Hill have the utmost respect and admiration for Dolly. It was only fitting to honor her with this one-of-kind piece.
