Gordon Holliday ( Charlotte, NC Brooklyn Collective Artist in Residence) uses remnant textiles/fibers to construct sustainable garments that tell stories about culture, history, and identity in the fashion industry.

He received his BFA with a concentration in Photography and a minor in retail studies at UNCG. He currently is featured in the Waste Management Design Challenge and was published in Forbes for the work he has committed in the community.

Holliday is an upcycle designer, utilizing donated fabric/materials, remnant scraps, previously owned items, or thrifted clothing into new garments. RENEW REWORK ROOLĒ is a brand created by Holliday that documents how reconstructed garments reach their final form through upcycling.

The Yasuke Collection Fall/ Winter 21 is inspired by the African Samurai who served under the feudal lord, Oda Nobunaga in the Edo period of Japan. Through imagining sashiko and boro through a futuristic lens. He combines the hand refined stitching method with sustainable material and textures to construct utility through each garment
